Before you visit the Trail
Your First Visit
Your first visit is all about connection, goals, and understanding your story.
We’ll begin with a tour of the office, followed by a one-on-one consultation to review your health history, current concerns, and goals. This is your opportunity to share what you’re experiencing and what you’re hoping to improve—whether that’s for yourself, your child, or during pregnancy. We’ll also explain how nervous system stress and interference can impact the body and how chiropractic care supports healing and regulation.
Next, we’ll assess how your nervous system is functioning using gentle, non-invasive CLA Insight nervous system scans. These scans allow us to objectively measure stress patterns and muscular imbalances so we can test, not guess, how your nervous system is adapting. This information helps us deliver care that is specific, intentional, and tailored to your needs, while also providing measurable benchmarks that allow us to track your progress and make data-driven decisions throughout your care plan. Over time, this objective feedback helps ensure your adjustments remain precise and responsive to how your body is healing and adapting.
In some cases, digital postural X-rays may be recommended. These images allow us to see the structure and alignment of your spine when clinically necessary, giving us a clearer understanding of how structural patterns may be influencing nervous system function and overall biomechanics. Our in-house digital X-ray system is safe, specific, and used only when it adds value to your care, ensuring that every recommendation we make is purposeful, precise, and based on objective clinical findings rather than guesswork.
Please allow 45–60 minutes for your initial visit.
YOUR FOLLOW-UP VISIT AT TRAIL CHIROPRACTIC
At your follow-up visit, we will sit down together to review your initial examination’s findings, including any neurological scan results and objective assessments. We will clearly explain what we found, how it relates to your current health concerns, and how neurologically-based chiropractic care can help restore proper function, improve adaptability, and support long-term stability rather than temporary symptom relief.
You will receive a detailed explanation of our approach, including the techniques we use at Trail Chiropractic, such as the Torque Release Technique and hands-on adjustments. You will also be informed on what to expect throughout your care plan. From there, we will present your personalized care recommendations designed to help you reach your health goals efficiently and sustainably.
We encourage questions during this visit. Our goal is to ensure you feel confident, informed, and empowered to make the best decision for you and your family’s health. If you choose to move forward with care, you will receive your first adjustment at this visit.
Please allow approximately 30 minutes for this appointment.
FAQS
Do You Take Insurance?
Trail Chiropractic is a cash-based wellness practice serving individuals and families. We choose not to work directly with insurance companies so your care is never dictated by short-term, symptom-based guidelines. Insurance often prioritizes reactive care; our focus is on long-term nervous system health, function, and adaptability.
By remaining out-of-network, we’re able to create flexible, affordable care plans tailored to your goals rather than a diagnosis code. Many of our practice members find their investment is comparable to, or less than, traditional insurance-based care. We’re also happy to provide documentation should you choose to submit for reimbursement independently.
When Will I Get Adjusted?
At Trail Chiropractic, we don’t guess, and we don’t rush.
Your first visit is focused on gathering detailed information and objective nervous system data so Dr. Landon Blake can fully understand how your body is functioning. This allows us to create care recommendations that are specific, intentional, and appropriate for you or your child.
At your follow-up visit, we review all findings, answer questions, and outline a clear care plan. Once you decide to move forward, you’ll receive your first gentle chiropractic adjustment. This two-visit process ensures care is delivered with purpose and precision, not assumptions.
Is Chiropractic Care Safe for Infants?
Yes, pediatric chiropractic care is gentle, safe, and specifically adapted for infants and children.
Infant adjustments are very different from adult care. Babies are assessed by hand and adjusted using extremely light, precise pressure, often while resting comfortably in a parent’s lap or on a pediatric pillow. The amount of pressure used is comparable to what you’d use to test the ripeness of a peach or lightly press on a closed eyelid.
Most infants relax during care, and many sleep through the adjustment. Our Pediatric Experience is designed to support the developing nervous system in a calm, safe, and effective way.
Why Should My Child See a Chiropractor?
Stress on the nervous system often begins earlier than we realize, starting with pregnancy, birth, and early development. As children grow, daily stressors, schedules, falls, and overstimulation can place added strain on their nervous systems. Many parents choose chiropractic care as a proactive way to support their child’s development, regulation, and adaptability. At Trail Chiropractic, our Pediatric Experience is designed to gently support the nervous system so children can grow, function, and thrive.
How Long Is Each Visit?
We value both quality care and your time. Initial visits take 45–60 minutes, and follow-up visits typically range from 5–15 minutes, depending on the individual and stage of care.
